Early wickets cause carnage in the Betfair markets!

Today; has seen me busy in the cricket trading room at my X-Club, now none of us got the huge move on Betfair when the Sri Lankan price moved from 1.57 to 1.70. All that happened before the Sky Sports show began.
That said; we still took advantage of the price moving out on Sri Lanka, with most of the room the making 10 ticks worth of profit.
One thing I have learned about the Betfair markets over the years, its extremely difficult to get the tip of the wave, but if the opportunity is right, then just ride it!
I took a screenshot of the graph shortly after England claimed the 4th Sri Lanka wicket. The green circle is movement in price in the 30 minutes before the start of the match (1.72 to 1.82). The rest you should be able to workout for yourself.
No you may be thinking, 10 ticks that’s not much, but when you can easily move in the market at £30 a tick, all of sudden it becomes a different prospect.
One of the aspects of trading the Betfair markets I try and teach my clients is how to spot and more importantly how to take advantage of these sort of opportunities.
The beauty of trading as a community in the trading room, there are some very experienced traders, a couple full-time pros, 3 or 4 cricket nuts, so even if this sport isn’t your bag there’s plenty of help on hand to ensure that you have somekind of edge!
